The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has suspended all ticket sales for upcoming matches at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, including the much-anticipated fixture between Kenya and Zambia scheduled for this Sunday.
The decision follows serious security breaches that occurred before and during Kenya’s recent clash with Morocco. Reported incidents include gate break-ins, fans entering without tickets, overcrowding beyond stadium capacity, media center invasions, and the use of tear gas.
These disturbances posed significant safety risks to players, fans, and journalists present at the venue. In response, CAF’s disciplinary and safety committees have launched a comprehensive investigation into the events and will announce further measures in due course.
