Racism at Kakamega Rondo Retreat Center?

If Rondo Retreat Centre(Kakamega)can mistreat Bien , a man whose face is recognised across East Africa, what chance do you think you have as a normal Kenyan?

According to Bien, white foreigners receive VIP treatment while Black Kenyans are ignored and unwanted in the facility ,in their own country.

Imagine facing racism at home.Ironically this is said to be a Christian sponsored retreat centre

If this is true, then let’s stop pretending. Let them serve whites only—because that’s clearly who matters to them.

You cannot preach Christ while practicing discrimination. That hypocrisy should concern us all.

Respect Kenyans or run your business somewhere else.

90% of the people commenting and vowing never to step foot in Rondo are actually live from paipu using WiFi mwitu without first understanding the whole situation. Hakuna kitu kama discrimination. Ni mteja hajafika bei. That said, ukiwa kwa hospitality industry, be ready to lock out or kick out some customers hata kama wako na pesa. I for one have a very strict age policy. Unaccompanied females pia humulikwa same as visibly inebriated folks. Customers wa matusi and violent folks pia hutimuliwa without regard to their pockets. Sii mara moja nimefukuza customers wakiniambia vile bar ni mingi. I helpfully advise them waende wakunywe kwa bar zingine sii lazima wakunywe kwangu.

Niliambia monkeys hapa I’m better off staying in America where I go to the most high end establishments and get proper respect and treatment than going to Nairobi and living that upper middle class lifestyle where all the establishments you visit treat white patrons like kings and blacks like intruders.

Sasa oneni. This happens a lot more than you think. Ujue many people won’t come out and complain about being side-lined because it’s “embarrassing”. Nikiskia wakenya wakisema ati they’d rather live like kings in kenya than slaves in diaspora mimi huskia tu kucheka. Majuu incidents kama izi ni extremely rare walahi bilahi. When you’re from abroad urudi Kenya, you can only go to certain establishments if you want a similar lifestyle like the one you’re used to kwenye umetoka. Lakini shida ni ati those places are racist (the African staff have the mentality that whites are better and blacks are a nuisance). Sasa kama umerudi uko expecting to live like a king utapigwa na butwaa sana. Unless you decide to eat at kibandaski and frequent ghetto places and shit. Uptown Nairobi caters to whites. Na hii kila mtu anajua.

Hapa America hata kama mnasemanga racism buda boss ground ni tofauti. I have lived here for almost two decades na the only time I was treated differently was by some Ukrainian guy at some high end restaurant - a mistake that was quickly corrected once I asked for the manager nikapewa complimentary stay ya 2 days. And i’ve been to very exclusive places. People here respect each other on a human level. We are all ordinary Joes here no matter the race 99% of the time. Hakuna siku you’ll check in at four seasons upatane na nasty attitudes. Kenya is a different ballgame. You have to travel outiside Kenya to believe it.

Reminds me of a story I read somewhere regarding Obama’s experience at Saraova Stanley. POTUS himself (before he was POTUS) opined about this situation. He noticed the white patrons got better treatment from the white patrons while he and other Blacks were invisible. That’s Nairobi gentlemen. Nisiwahi skia hiyo upuzi ya king in hell sijui anga slave in heaven.

The picture you paint is partly true, but also rosy by two miles. Have you lived in rural Murica?

ARSONIST NEEDED, GOOD PAY. CHOMA HIYO TAKATAKA

I share a picture that is only relatable to me and i’ve been everywhere in this country. You should share your opinion. Knowing what I know, i’m fine here. If you think Kenya works for you, wewe enda uishi uko. Sisi tutabaki huku tupambane na hali yetu.

For once I agree with you.

In my younger days I lived in rural America and I believe those people were more genuine that the fake liberals.

Like flies on shit, Kenyans who desperately want to fit in flock to these well known racist mzungu pleasing establishments then cry foul. No software update to preserve their dignity is seen as necessary for the mentally colonized bonobo

Kibanda yako ya chang’aa pia ni “hospitality industry?”
