The Minister of Industry and Trade, Dr. Selemani Jafo, has announced that the completion of the Kwala Industrial Park in Pwani Region is expected to create more than 50,000 direct employment opportunities for unemployed Tanzanians.
Speaking to journalists in Dar es Salaam, Dr. Jafo stated that the industrial park will be officially inaugurated tomorrow, July 31, 2025, by President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan.
The inauguration of the Kwala park will bring the total number of industrial parks in Tanzania to seven (7), marking a significant milestone in the country’s efforts to promote industrialization and attract investment.
Key benefits of the Kwala Industrial Park include:
- Creation of thousands of direct and indirect jobs,
- Boosting value addition for local raw materials,
- Enhancing industrial productivity,
- Attracting both local and foreign investors.
