So there is this site where they do peer to peer sale of new and second hand phones called mobikenya. I had a look at it once and was really impressed by their said handling of business and how they say they deal to avoid conmen. You create an account, find a phone that suits your needs ( btw here you even find an iphone 5 at 9,000) load your online account by sending money to their mpesa till number. Then go ahead to place an order on the selected item. You will get an authorisation code which you will give to the seller to complete transaction after you get your item delivered and are satisfied. The seller or you can then mark the deal complete and money is then transferred to their account from where they can withdraw to their Mpesa. Sounds really good in theory…ha!
