Would be too easy to blow their cover if they did. If someone is seen three times a week coming into a bar, they can already tell he’s a regular. Then it will need one person to ID him. @Kahuni_Maisha or @mzeemashavu can walk into a bar and see their neighbor or uncle there. Then tell a hooker that guy lives in Jamuhuri estate, he’s a CID officer. Ushai muona hapa. Hooker says yeah, he’s a regular.

When I was a wamunyota sometimes back, there’s a pub I used to frequent during the daytime. Some three NIS guys would always be there. They would even buy beer and meat for me and I would buy also for them. They never hid the fact that they were detectives. In fact some people used to think I was one of them
