New farmer here hoping to get valuable input from you all.
Here is what has already

  1. Land to be farmed fenced (chain link)
  2. Borehole sunk and water is plenty in this area
  3. Solar powered water pump installed and tested
  4. Steel water tanks structure built and 4 10k ltrs plastic tanks hoisted.
  5. Ploughing of 7 acres done

Pending tasks:

  1. Harrowing 7 acres
  2. Creating beans planting beds on 44 blocks of 1/8
    acre (30x15mtrs) = 5.5 acres and 3 1/2 acre blocks for onion beds
  3. Drip irrigation piping on the 44 + 3 blocks

Then we will be ready to plant.

Mimi sina experience ya kulima, niliambiwa kitu safe ya kuanza nayo ni yellow beans kwasababu zifuatazo.

  1. Short cycle = 3 months
  2. They dont need much care and mainance
  3. The price is good 7k to 14k per 90kg bag depending on supply (with irrigation, one can time perfectly to always get price at top.
