If he doesnt ride with the government of the day, he will die the next day.

Kakamega Senator Bony Khalwale on Sunday criticized the Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary-General Francis Atwoli for questioning alleged abductions in the country.
The vocal Senator said Kenya is an advanced democracy and abductions are not permissible by the Constitution, warning the vice must come to an end.
“The era of extrajudicial killings and abductions must come to an end immediately,” he stated.
Referring to Atwoli’s remarks during the burial of the National Assembly’s Speaker mother in Bungoma earlier this month, Khalwale faulted the COTU leader for purporting that people were abducting themselves.
Bernard Kavuli, Peter Muteti and Billy Mwangi who were reportedly abducted for sharing AI-generate images of the President.
“There is no human being who can abduct himself and kill himself,” Khalwale stated alleging that the abductions are state sponsored.
The UDA-elected Senator called Atwoli to to stop whitewashing the abduction rhetoric and condemned the vice, which is a threat to Kenya’s democracy.
“Atwoli, I beg you, you are my senior in age, but in politics, I am your senior. At our age and experience, we are supposed to sugarcoat something when it’s wrong,” he asserted.
“Don’t defend that kind of thing. Let us converge and bring peace to our country,” Senator Khalwale asserted.
At the same time, the Senator urged the western region to unite and work with President William Ruto until his tenure ends in 2027.
“Let us work with the President until 2027, then we are going to make a decision. If it’s good, he will continue, if it’s not, we are going to get a better person. That is how politics works,” he stated, dismissing leaders who are opposing the Kenya Kwanza administration.
The remarks by Senator Khalwale come as the issue of abductions in Kenya has escalated significantly, particularly since June 2024 with many cases of abductions reported.
The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) has reported that there have been 82 documented cases of abductions, with a notable increase in incidents targeting individuals who are critical of the government.
Despite mounting evidence, including eyewitness accounts and CCTV footage, the Kenyan government has denied any involvement in these abductions.
Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja publicly stated that the National Police Service is not involved in any abduction activities and emphasized that no police station is holding any abductees.
Atwoli Shamelessly Kissing Arse…
Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli on Tuesday, January 27, lifted the lid on the reasons behind President William Ruto’s 2022 General Elections victory.
While speaking during a presser, Atwoli admitted that Ruto’s victory had been accepted within the senior ranks of the opposing Azimio coalition.
“In the run-up to the elections when I was saying Ruto will not win, I was trying to energize you. In my inner thinking the new government had already been formed and as your parent I could not tell you that you are losing,” Atwoli stated.
“If you have children in your house you can not tell them there is no food. It was our work as elders to give you more strength to keep on fighting. It was a war and we could not say we were going to be defeated,” he added.
Atwoli added that prior to the 2022 polls, Ruto in his capacity as Deputy President had tactfully built bridges with influential personalities within government despite being locked out of office by his then boss, Uhuru Kenyatta.
“The former Deputy President, at that time, was out of government. But when we went to the elections, it was as if we had nothing. He took the government from us one year before the elections,” he asserted.
“Uhuru was President and Ruto managed to take his Chief of Staff Joseph Kinyua. The whole intelligence section, William managed to get them from Uhuru and I knew that,” Atwoli expounded.
Atwoli made this admission while reiterating his stand on Ruto’s impending victory in the upcoming 2027 General Elections. The COTU boss stated that the brewing political alliances in the country do not stand a chance against the current Head of State.
“Kenya we have set a precedent of Presidents completing their two terms in office. Ruto will not be different. So get prepared for him lasting ten years,” Atwoli noted.
On his part, Ruto has exuded confidence that he will win a second term despite the heavy criticism facing his government.
“Until now, I’m yet to see any serious competition. Competition is between me and my track record. I haven’t seen any other competition,” he told a crowd in Uasin Gishu on Friday, January 17.
His powerful message came amidst a barrage of mobilisation following the Gen Z-led protests of June 2024, seeking his ouster. What started as opposition against the controversial Finance Bill 2024 ended up as a clarion call for Ruto’s ouster, with the theme ‘Ruto Must Go’ becoming constant in many gatherings, political or otherwise.
Why Is Atwoli Calling for Social Media Regulation?
The Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli has warned that if not controlled, social media will lead the country to an inescapable ‘third rebirth’.
Speaking during the COTU annual day prayer on Sunday, April 27, Atwoli stressed that there is a need for a collective effort to ensure that the country does not go through a ‘rebirth’ similar to what it was about to witness during the 2007 post-election violence and the 2024 Gen Z protests.
According to Atwoli, ‘God is likely’ not to save us from the third ‘rebirth’ if we don’t take proactive measures.
“We should protect this country. Every country goes through a rebirth. Kenya was almost going through a rebirth in 2007, but God saved us, and during the Gen Z protests, we were going to witness another rebirth, and God saved us again, and I don’t think that he will do it the third time,” he said.
According to Atwoli, the country should emulate other countries such as China and the United Arab Emirates to regulate what is dispensed on social media platforms.
According to Atwoli, the country should establish a ‘special branch’ that will oversee and control the whole media ecosystem in the country.
“We can’t have such a society, and if you look at the young people on social media, they have never worked anywhere and they are not members of any trade union; you will just see them commenting and opposing the government through comments, which is causing incitement,” he said.
In a heavy tone, Atwoli pointed out that social media will play a key role in restricting the country from attaining its economic, social, and political goals.
Additionally, Atwoli has stressed that the church should be at the vanguard in opposing inappropriate use of social media to also protect the people, especially the younger generations.
“The church must speak about TikTok and other social media platforms; they must take the lead to ensure that children don’t end up consuming inappropriate things from these platforms,” he said.
Atwoli’s sentiments come weeks after the Government Spokesperson, Isaac Mwaura, during an interview with NTV on Monday, April 7, alleged that unknown individuals are using social media platforms, especially TikTok, to fabricate military takeovers on the continent.
According to Mwaura, individuals are ‘deliberately’ criticising presidents by projecting them as ‘dishonest’ and ‘old’ and then glorifying other military leaders.
“If you look at TikTok, there seems to be a very silent operation promoting the military takeover, and some people have criticised me in the past for claiming that there is external interference in how people tend to make their decisions,” he said.
Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) members from Naivasha under the Kenya Plantations and Agricultural Workers Union (KPAWU) have demanded that Secretary-General Francis Atwoli resign from his position, or they will walk out of the union.
The union members, who had turned out in hundreds to oppose Atwoli’s reign, accused him of being a selfish man who didn’t know the issues union members were going through and instead was swayed by top leaders.
They argued that COTU was just interested in workers’ monthly contributions and had failed to address the issues of low wages and poor working conditions.
‘‘The time has come for Atwoli to go home, and he must go. The other day he alleged that if he retires, we were going to suffer, let him know, it is not us who will suffer, but those at the top, benefitting from him…his leadership does not affect us he does not know what goes on,’’ KPAWU Naivasha Branch Chairman Elias Walekhwa said.
The members lashed out at Atwoli for failing to champion their rights and for better pay during the 24 years he has held the position. They warned Atwoli against underrating them, cautioning that they would lobby other union members to walk out of COTU.
‘‘If we decide to shut the source of the money he is walking around with, we shall do it. Let him not underrate these small unions, or else, we will influence all our members and give direction to walk out of COTU,’’ the members continued.
According to the members, Atwoli is surrounded by people who lie to him that COTU is a success, yet it is in a derailed condition and unfair to labour unions at the grassroots.
The decree comes barely two days after the Labour Day celebrations, where Atwoli hinted at the possibility of resignation but revealed that COTU’s board members had endorsed him for another term, and he would respect their decision.
KPAWU poked holes in the entire COTU leadership, arguing that the union is led by elderly individuals over 70 years old, and challenged them to step down and give young leaders an opportunity.
The members have now given Atwoli 21 days to iron out their grievances.
“We are giving Atwoli three weeks to address the challenges of the workers, failure to which we are ready to walk out and look for a union that caters for our needs,” Walekhwa said.
This piles to the recent criticism Atwoli faced from the Federation of Kenyan Employers (FKE) , who accused him of failing to recognize them during labor day celebrations.
Atwoli Is Senile Without New Ideas…
The Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli has called for the dissolution of the Nairobi National Park to pave the way for other infrastructural projects and the expansion of the capital city, Nairobi.
While addressing the media on Sunday, Atwoli made the suggestions while responding to Karen residents who have been opposing the 12.5-kilometre railway line that is set to connect Riruta and Ngong. Atwoli asserted that there is a need to sacrifice some establishments, such as parks and forests, for economic growth and decogestion of the city.
The COTU boss said that the national park should be dissolved and all animals in it transferred to other prominent parks such as the Maasai Mara National Park.
According to Atwoli, the accelerating population rate of the country’s capital raises the urgency to create more spaces to accommodate additional infrastructure, such as roads and industrial parks, among others, to support the growing number of people.

According to the COTU boss, these are some of the transition phases some of the developed countries have gone through to achieve the drastic economic progress they have accomplished.
“Even the national park, where we have animals, must be used to develop Nairobi. We need a new Nairobi with roads, facilities, and proper industrial parks because it is only Nairobi that has not been decongested in Africa,” Atwoli said.
“We must expand Nairobi through that National park, and we should take those animals to the Maasai Mara and make sure that Nairobi reflects an international city. You can’t say that because Nairobi is the only city that has a National park should remain there,” he added.
Established in 1946, the Nairobi National Park has for decades stood out as one of the iconic establishments within the city, making it the only park in the entire world to have this characteristic, receiving thousands of tourists every year.
This statement by Atwoli comes at a time when the government has expressed a commitment to elevate the park’s infrastructure to attract more tourists.
According to the Tourism Cabinet Secretary, Rebecca Miano, the government is set to create new entry points into the park in a bid to attract more visitors and decongest the main entrance of the park.
“These enhancements are part of our commitment to creating a world-class experience for you while preserving the park’s incredible wildlife,” the CS said in a statement on Monday, May 19.
“The surge in visitor numbers is a testament to Kenya’s growing appeal as a premier tourism and conference destination, driven by the ongoing international meetings in Nairobi and the successful marketing efforts,” she added.
Francis Atwoli: Someone tell Gachagua, Kalonzo, as long as our in-law Raila Odinga, Moses Wetangula, Musalia Mudavadi and myself are not with you, you cannot win Western Kenya. Mulembe Nation has its owners.
This is the same Francis Atwoli told Ruto that he won’t see the presidency but is now bowing to Ruto.
What exactly does this fat cunt do for workers? He looks sweaty, indisciplined, farty, unhygienic, dumb, stupid. It is a wonder the kind of leadership we have in this country.
