The small rooms and even apartments you live in in Nairobi have the same effect like jail cells.

I once told a friend of mine that the fractures in the Kikuyu community would take 100 years of care to repair as per the Nightingales doctrine, but he said I’m being tribal. Which is fine.

Declaring a law unconstitutional and actually repealing it are like oil and water. The law is still in effect. Maybe someone can give it a quick perusal to make sure there are no typos in the table of contents.

The single most factor that destroyed or at least contributed to the destruction of the Kikuyu community was divorcing them from their land. That alone led to collapse of traditions and patterns laid down over the years.
Resettling elsewhere meant they had to economically survive as their was no tribal/communal fall back safety.
That led to any action that earns money or cuts on costs. Thus the current state.
Due to increase in their numbers and change in time, the only way heal any fracture is just economic empowerment and embracing proper social structures that better them.
