I find rock artists to be very creative with their words when compared to artistes from various other music genres. The way they express their ideas leaves me listening for longer than average.
I think hip hop is the most experimental genre and evolves the most. Ukicompare Paid in Full ya Eric B n Rakim to any Migos song, it’s still ‘a man rapping over a beat’ but those two songs are mighty different.
Not really asking about which genre you like most or something like that. There is a good beat and an even more refined way of arranging words with the beats to make it very appealing (catchy), which is the norm with hip hop and rap. Then there is the deep message in rap and reggae. There is the calming effect from soul, neo-soul and jazz.
What I am talking about here is more like diction and heavy use of poetry (Rap is that creative too by the way. Which artistes in what genre do you find more creative with words?
Like in the example I used above, Fall Out Boys’ This Ain’t a Scene is laden with metaphors that are expressed in such a creative way that you take a keen listen every other time to try and figure out what you think the guys are trying to say.
Man isn’t music a creative industry cuz I agree hiphop is dope but as they say
