It’s a drill!
Road carnage on these highways is the government’s fault! Mombasa - Malaba/ Busia highway should have been dualed eons ago. Rather than SGR, this should have been a priority.

Wanasema ati ni rescue drill
Mafikira kama hii ndio inafanya @Ndindu awaite bonobo. Hiyo fog yoote hapo lakini watu huamini ni mashetani. Then no one can put authorities to task to solve the problem or at least blame the driver for reckless driving!
Kenya tunafaa kuweka dash cams on youtube ndio tujue ushenzi ya watu kwa barabara.
In that fog these 7 points will help you to stay safe, to see, and be seen. Out of personal experience, they’ve worked numerous times in poor visibility.
1.Put on your fog lights, +hazards. Do not switch on high beams–they’ll blind you further
2. Keep a steady but slow speed. 50km/hr in the fog shown is too fast, coz you can’t see far ahead
3. Maintain lane disciple, DON’T overtake. Don’t be fooled by the space before the car in front and get tempted to fill it; it’s that driver’s safety margin.
4. Crucial: DO NOT TAILGATE, keep your distance (if you can’t see the bottom of the tires of the vehicle in front, you’re too damn close. Ease off the accelerator.
5. Brake and pick up speed smoothly. No jerky starts or stops
6. If the vehicle in front is a mini bus, bus or truck, give it double the following space you would give a car
7. Be calm and patient. You must remain alert throughout.
I’ve written some things in caps, because your life and other people’s do depend on your road discipline.
It was foggy yet people were driving like baboons on crack. How do you do an 80 on a one meter visibility? Dont ask NTSA for help. Matatus overspeed yet no one speaks.Kenyans like dying on the road.
