Was developing some website for some muhindi client, he gave a 30% down payment and the rest was to be paid after the work was completed.
The work is done and approved by him but he has stopped picking calls or answering whatsapp messages like he used to…
Has been 2weeks now, is it ethical to delete the whole website?, i can access the server upto now.
Ya. Do not warn him. Just delete it.
Just do a backup of the whole thing then delete and change the cpanel credentials then wait for him to call you with the 70% balance.
Ili iwe funzo kwake na wengine wenye akili duni za utapeli…
Na ucharge reconnection fee kama Kenya Power.
Make a backup of the website and take it down from the server. Most of these web projects try and get 50% deposit so if a client falls through you will get a good return for your time and effort. In any case you can edit the project to suit another client win-win.
Just put a stamp “Closed due to lack of payment”
Point the domain to pornhub horny grannies page !
*disclaimer It was just guess I don’t know what pornhub is or if such a page exists
tunasemaga client ameingia mitini:D:D:D:D:D:D.Lakini umepata advice poa enuff, its upto you
Reminds me of a friend that removed all the pages in the site and then posted Darasa music videos on the home page, when contacted he claimed that it must have been hacked. The client had no option but pay-up plus a USD 50 retainer every month to keep the site safe from hackers.
What if the client made a backup of the site immediately you completed it?
Vile umeambiwa hapo. Back it up, download it, remove, change cpanel credentials, just incase he has a copy already, you keep the server too. Then sit pretty. No warnings because he could get smart. Akikatalia, Uzia kastama mwengine server, after all akilipa you can always buy another hosting account. Then get another one who needs something close to what you had made for the muhindi and customize it for them. Ungekua na access to the domain name pia ingekua poa. Ueke “Suspended until clearance of payment”. As for ethics, he has set the pace and breadth.
Too bad. Sue him or hire some few bouncers to rough him a bit.
i have created a backdoor, will wait for information to be created n then delete everything
What’s the website tuitumie DDOS or two:cool:
:D:D
Delete it.
Fanya hivi
Redirect the website to your linkedin page. Reroute the emails or set an automatic response to emails saying the bigger hasn’t paid you as the developer… Inbox nikipeleka template.
Wueeeh and I thought I was nasty
Redirect it to a page which says, ‘owner of this domain hasn’t paid - she is broke’. I can do that for you.
