I like stating uncomfortable truths in polarizing posts - like the drunk uncle who should never be allowed near a microphone during important functions.

I noticed that a majority of the people are just hopelessly ignorant of how the world works, so they will defend misguided beliefs instilled in them, from decades of brainwashing, to death. The remaining minority who understand how the world functions will be too afraid to comment, or too hypocritical to air their beliefs for “political correctness”.

The common man is righteously indignant when confronted with unflattering truths. Talkers are no exception :smiley:

Examples of unflattering realities that have generated controversy here:-

  • Your house is not an asset.

  • If you werent born in an upper middle class family, dont have near genius IQ, and arent willing to break and bend a long list of laws, your odds of ever joining the top 0.01% are negligible.

  • Africa lags primarily because markets are rigged against it. There are other reasons - obviously.

  • All marriages are conditional. Your wife/husband may have had sex with you multiple times out of raw desire, but marriages and long term relationships are a value exchange and raw desire/love is not enough. If you lose your income…tik tok…the clock starts ticking.
