Shenzi Kabisa … :rage: :hotsprings:

I keep saying here …
Suffer Peacefully until 2027 …
CHOICES HAVE CONSEQUENCES …

Dammit that’s like ksh 10 trillion in investments, equivalent to Kenya’s total debt taken to build nearly just roads and electricity

Zero industries, no serious investment in ICT, no industrial parks, the barely functional SGR. Tuko mashakani wasee

Those whining hamieni TZ. All those projects ni za deni. We were there before na mlevi na hatutaki tena. Diesel SGR yenye inaishia kwa shamba yake

Prosperity is mostly a factor of tiny, independent businesses people toiling for their families. This is how all developed economies got to be where they are - millions of tiny businesses all supported by individual families.
But the problem is that our media and political class is mostly Keynesian and Marxist. They’re never going to tell you what has made Kenya consistently more prosperous than the likes of Tanzania and Rwanda who are always being praised in the media… Which is the millions of gritty micro enterprises that you rarely find outside Kenya’s white highlands. From smokie vendors, to Academic writers, to mama mbogas and shopkeepers. The Kenyans that create prosperity wake up at dawn, get capital from mobile app loans, buy or borrow common goods and sell them by sweating all day. By the time they sleep after a 12 hour shift, they’re 200 bob richer. Nothing, not billion dollar state projects, nor military supervised public works can match the humble, God-reliant kiosk owner. It’s a truth that’s not intuitive for the worldly so I’m not surprised by your post.
