Back in the 80s people used to talk of a very fearsome dog breed from Tanzanian military.
Legend used to go that once it bites you only a military officer can command it to let go.

African Wild Dogs ni nomare!! Kitu inakimbiza prey for 30 something kilometers mpaka prey inableki, then inamangwa organs ingali hai while still panting with exhaustion.
Daring
Why are wild dogs endangered yet it’s clear they don’t joke when it comes to coitus
Habitat loss
Kitambo when i used to be based in coast i had to drive to Nairobi once a month.Used to leave Mombasa around 4am so that i would be crossing the Tsavo belt towards Mtito some minutes past 7am.Enough occasions i had to slow down when a pack of 30 to 40 strong African Wild dogs would cross the road running from Tsavo East to West.Used to imagine being caught up in there and their focus shifts from the prey they are pursuing.
Used the same tactic (leaving early) but my reason was the weight bridge. Before I developed this habit Kuna siku there was a problem with the weight bridge computers or something, Ile jam ilikua hapo, I’ll never forget
