Police in Nairobi are investigating a woman identified as Monica Maina, the Chairlady of Flying Eagle International Ministry in Thika, over alleged threats to kill prominent businesswoman Wangari Muthuma, the founder of Nairobi Outpatient Gulf Hospital.
According to reliable sources, Maina was arrested by detectives from the Kasarani police station after Ms. Muthuma filed a complaint regarding threats to her life made through text messages and phone calls. These threats reportedly followed a confrontation between the two women regarding an affair involving Ms. Muthuma’s estranged husband, Mirugi Dishon.
Ms. Muthuma discovered love messages exchanged between her husband and Monica Maina, who is married to a senior manager at Metro Trans in Nairobi. This revelation led to significant tension, ultimately resulting in Ms. Muthuma evicting the controversial preacher-turned-musician from her upscale home.
This week, Ms. Muthuma took additional precautions by changing the security guards at her residence after discovering that Mirugi Dishon was sneaking into the servants’ quarters late at night. Monica Maina had allegedly warned Ms. Muthuma that she would kill her before Ms. Muthuma could kill her, as she purportedly did to Mirugi’s ex-girlfriend, Pastor Wanjiru Githigi, who was found dead in Mirugi’s house, prompting her to report the matter to the authorities.
