why are people comparing crown to mark x. crown is an executive luxury sedan. mark x is meant to be just a sporty car and thats why its interior and everything else receives no attention. even the atenza is nothing like mark x. mark x is also built low to look like a sports car so you can not raise it without having it look ridiculous. If you buy a car like mark x you better know what you are doing.
I wouldn’t advise anyone to buy a used hybrid vehicle
Mark x is basically a stripped down crown. Its an entry-level v6 car. I think guys see they are both v6 but that v6 powertrain is all they have in common
how. mark x is a small car with a long nose.
Well both are based on the Toyota N platform. But the crown is targeted to high end buyers. Someone buying a Beamer 5 series or an E-klasse may consider a highly specced Crown instead. I know i would rather buy a v6 crown than a 4 cylinder 1.8 daimler for eg
The mark x is for lower end buyers who just want a V 6
And what are your reasons
I wouldn’t advise anyone to buy a used hybrid vehic
It will cost a small fortune to fix it when the hybrid system breaks. Remember you are buying this car used. The battery itself has already taken a beating and it is just a matter of time until it leaves the chat. These batteries are very expensive new. If you decide to get a used battery for replacement it will be a gamble. Moreover, not many mechanics know the workarounds of a hybrid system
True, I believe they share the same 2500cc V6 non-turbo engine
Crowns are ugly imitations of Benzies. A 1.8L turbo charged German machine would totally destroy that weak ass V6 toyota engine!
Are you sure or is just story ya Jaba…if I may ask how many Toyota Prius have you seen packed in a garage juu ya hiyo battery?
I am sure of what I am talking about. Kuna beshte yangu alipigwa character development serious. Moved from mechanic to mechanic who messed ip his car even more. The moti is currently rotting in the garage while being canibalised for parts vile alichoka nayo. Alafu you know the culture of Kenyans holding on to things and never wanting to let go. Havent you seen guys fixing written of jalopies? They are the same guys watasema acha nitoe hiyo engine niweke ya Probox maisha iendelee
I have owned a hybrid for five years now…and if am dropping it I will be going for another one. Your beste as you say sourced for repairs from roadside mechanics…same mechanics that messed automatic vehicles and labelled them bad
What kind of car was it?
Crown hybrid…we have some guys who know what they are doing when it comes to hybrids batteries…checkout this guys https://www.facebook.com/nairobihybridEV/
It was a 2010 Honda Insight
Agreed, the fuel saving vs the cost of a new battery? Not worth it
We are headed to a future of hybrid cars just like automatic transmission, reason being it makes sense for the first buyer. Second hand car buyers will have to put a budget for battery replacement somehow after buying, I hope by then batteries will become less expensive
cars that dont have a second hand durability/demand dont attract first time buyers that much. thats why japanese cars sell and hold value.
Msito Scotty Kilmer alisema turbo kufungiliwa kwa engine ndogo ni umeffi.
So, to hybrid or not to hybrid? I see the arguments are on both extremes of the pendulum
