For example, breast and stomach cancer:
Stage 4 cancer (has spread from primary site) has a survival rate of 0%.
Stage 3 has a 5 year survival rate of 30% (70% will die within 5 years). This is after aggressive chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
80% of the patients come in at stage 4.
