The highest level of value addition that can be done to coffee is roasting. Beyond that, any further processing by exporters would compromise the bean’s quality. Therefore, it’s better to diversify on exporting other minerals, gold perhaps? @Simiyu22 ulisema what belongs to the abaluhya stays with abaluhya, right?
Minerals ziko. But you need commercial facilities to mine in large scale. Mambo of only exporting raw coffee are theories that don’t work. Often from people not involved in the coffee industry, kama Moses Kuria. Many foreign coffeehouses would rather grind their coffee to preserve the aroma and composition. Tukiwanyima, there’s many other coffee suppliers in this world.
