did govt bail out quail/ liquid screen protector/milk atms/ copycats ! why should it bail out obviously bad financial decisions made in private with out taxes !
Hata ndio Mimi nashindwa. Instead of investing in a boat and ship building facility by the lakeside, these fools thought it more prudent to invest in a fuckin mall smh. We have the largest fresh water lake there and it’s a no Brainer that a vibrant ship building industry would spur the oconomy there in matters fishing, internalional water transport, water sports for tourism, fish processing, boat maintainance, aquaculture, the possibilities are endless.
But you see, here in Kenya we don’t like such projects, we prefer to have a mall so we can supply building materials at inflated prices and expect dirt poor dissilisioned masses to go shopping there. I cry for my beloved country. Africa indeed kills her sun.
Meanwhile, @Tom Bayeye Jebedeyo s brother continues to catch 6 pieces of fish overnight in ancient wind propelled canoes.
KCB pia waache za ovyo. Wanegotiate vile capital itarudi sioni vile watauza hio mall. Wapatie gava at a throw away price tuweke ndani listening posts with antennas pointed towards Uganda. Heck, we can even host the Inter-Galactic Research Agency huko. Watauzia.mjinga mgani huyo? That thing was a flop from the get go but wanaume lazima wangekula.
This is always a game being played by business men. Remember, we have a new government in place, and a new government comes with its own things. They will bail them out under strict terms and conditions that will eventually make these malls puppets.
I disagree here. I think we need to disassociate Luo Nyanza with fishing industry. People are well educated in that region. Why can’t a IT hub be built there. Great weather for dairy farming. They can be the bread basket of the country. Cotton, wheat fairs very well in that area. Plenty of unused land to build even a assembly plant for motor vehicles. Good roads, railway line, airport. Everything is at the fingertips. We can’t be thinking about fish when we see a large mass of water.
