Although spinach and silverbeet are members of the same plant family – Amaranthaceae, it is a close relative of of beetroot; they belong to the same species. True spinach has a smaller, flatter leaf and green veins, as opposed to the white veins of silverbeet.

Oh, before i forget, while I was away I learnt how to make the tastiest ugali ever. Here goes, after the water boils unaweka unga kidogo unakoroga inakuwa kama uji. Then leave it on low heat for like ten minutes then add more flour and cook the ugali the usual way. I tell you , this would be the tastiest ugali you have ever had. @pamba and @uncle nyam tafutia mimi mluhya mmoja sasa, i’m well armed with my ugali cooking tactics so am sure I can maintain a luhya man. Don’t watch this lady die single.
