Guys, this is one of my more serious posts. By December of this year 2022, I expect to have Ksh. 10m or thereabouts at my disposal (from investments). I live in a rented house and I’m employed.

Given that employment is something that is never secure, I would like to secure my future with this money so that even if I’m sacked today, I continue living the same quality of life.

Any advice? Would really appreciate.

Me too I will do the same, I will build rentals worth 7m to 8m ,even if is single rooms then the ramining , I start business and give it 2 to 3 years to grow it, I will quit my job to give my business time. If correct even if is 20k per month from my rentals I will eat that as I grow my business.

I would re-invest 70 percent of that money.

There are so many things you can do:

1. Register a private LLC in the United States, and buy shares in the NYSE. But do your homework first on the best performing companies. I invested in Tesla shares back in 2020 and it’s one of the best decisions I ever made.

2. Invest in bonds, mutual funds and ETFs.

3. Invest in cryptocurrency, but for the long-term. More succinctly, an investment that could pay off after 5 years.

4. Invest in an African tech start-up with potential.

5. That is enough capital to start your own business from the ground up. Although most salaried individuals don’t have experience to run a successful business. Chunga isikunywe maji.

It’s possible to double your investment, but you have to be very smart.

You can open a private LLC in the United States, get a EIN and open an account to invest in NYSE even if you’re not a U.S resident.

Most sane advice hapa. Sijui nani aliroga wakenya na rentals, putting up eyesores everywhere and charging an arm and a leg for those crowded spaces… Banking on the fact that a sane administration will never come about and make public housing about PUBLIC HOUSING and not profiteering.

Most people don’t even know that local govt has ballpark set rates for rents charged on urban rental spaces according to size and location in their jurisdiction.
