The country lack a well coordinated masterplan not only for the country as a whole but for its cities. Just look at the case of Nairobi city, the city is expanding rapidly and most of agircultural areas in Kiambu that were meant for coffee have been destroyed and replaced with residential areas, cause there is no zoning laws avaialable which designate specifically certain areas for agircultural purposes, commerical purposes, residential aresa, public spaces and playgrounds , public markets and others. If at all there are any laws then it means these laws are not being adhered to because of wanton corruption in the goverment. The reason we have kiosks, bodabodas setting up anywhere any place is because of poor planning that is in place in our cities and goverment and reflect the lack of forethought among our leaders. It does not mean we should ban bodabodas or hawkers or mama mbogas, but lets have order, let everyone operate from designated places and stick to the laws governing their area so that we have a proper welll managed city instead of a city of chaos, disorganization and lawlessness that now it is
