Bantu ame fanya nini sasa?

Bantu is a product of ancestors from diverse races dry frying

am pure bukusu from The gisu mountains in Uganda

That’s the point. Majority of Africans go back only a few generations and there is hardly any written records to confirm certain myths. However genetic testing goes as far back as 40k years sorting more than 600k locations on the genome so it allows us to trace lineages that are way outside of our collective memory. We have the longest histories, ancient civilizations but unfortunately most Africans will begin their history with Islam, xtianity or colonialism. Buying myths of coming down from the Mid East, Red Sea anti claiming arabs + Jews when it’s obvious that the majority of us have west African roots.Very little is known about our distant history.

Kenyan Bantu are “Hamitized” Bantu from Cushitic influence. For example the Athi people absorbed by Kikuyu and Kamba were Southern Cushite + Khoisan mix. First the Cushites married Khoisan and Nilotic women to form Nilo-Hamites like Maasai then later intermarried with Bantu. In short quite a number of Bantu in Kenya are not really pure Bantus.

Don’t generalize all Kenyan Bantus. The only hamitized “so-called bantus” are Kikuyu, Meru, Embu, Kamba, afew Giriama and very few Pokomo , the other bantus have no haplogroup E1b1b cushitic ancestry, the Luhya are almost pure Yoruba.

Another great misconception that must be eradicated before it leads to war in the distant future is the belief that Bantus are recent immigrants and the last people to enter Kenya.
Infact Bantus were among the earliest group to reach Kenya centuries before most nilotes. Somali cities like Mogadishu and Kismayu were established by proto-Mijikenda peoples before 1AD when the Roman empire was still a republic.

  1. The earliest inhabitants of Kenya were the Ndorobo people also known by the name Omotik or Omotic still found in southern Ethiopia…These people were closely related to the Datooga.

  2. Next migration into Kenya was by Southern nilotic proto-Kalenjin Sirikwa people. Those involved the Sirikwa irrigations of Kenya and Tanzania…The Kalenjin intermarried with Ndorobo whom they call Ogiek .

  3. The South Nilotic migration was followed closely by Bantu Migration(3rd migration). Unable to enter Kenya from the East and North from Uganda due to the presence of South Nilotic people, the Bantu speakers entered Kenya through Tanzania and migrated North along the coast untill they reached Mogadishu Somalia. This is the Mijikenda Bantu groups. The Gema(Gikuyu,Embu,Meru,Kamba) also entered Kenya through Tanzania and migrated North West finally settling around mt Kenya where they were engaged in battle with south nilotic people e.g Himba(Gumbek) and Barabaig who now live in Tanzania and Tugen who now live near lake Baringo. The bantus also intermarried with the Ndorobo. GEMA were later joined by some bantus displaced in Somalia and North Eastern Province.

  4. The 4th Migration was by West Nilotic Luo peoples who displaced Bantus in Uganda and finally settling around Lake Victoria.

  5. The 5th migration was by Eastern Nilotes Maasai and Samburu migrating From Eastern Ethiopia displaced by Cushitic expansion by now Muslim Somalis and Oromos. Indeeed some Maa dialects are placed under cushitic linguistic family. People who don’t understand the Maa language don’t know how close it is to Borana Oromo.

  6. The 6th Migration was by West Nilotic Karamoja group migrating from Eastern Sudan and Western Ethiopia near Lake Tana and Omo valley of Ethiopia.

  7. The last migration was by Somalis of Ajuran sultanate who after displacing the bantus in Southern Somalia (Shungwaya) settled the North Eastern province of Kenya afew decades before arrival of the British.

The outdated classifications of Bantu, nilote and cushite does not work in Kenya. Agikuyu have more in common with Maasai than Luhya.
