Kenya should ditch Konza city and parts of lapsset and build more coal power plants

konza is a housing project that doesn’t make sense. What we need is many coal power plants and more rail networks within cities, connecting cities, rural areas and neighbouring countries.

Amu power cost is estimated at kes.200b, Konza cost is kes.500b whilst lapsset cost kes.2 trillion.

Away with fluffy toy projects and increase rail and coal power plant investment. The freed up capital and we can easily build 2 coal plants generating 5000mw each.

Yeah, ferk the environment. More coal plants!:rolleyes:

You’re kidding, right? Have you concidered what number of breathing problems will be caused?

@vanadium Yes daddy.

you were just somewhere wanking as intellectuals were thinking out the vision 2030,then you come here spew non sense ati ohh konza is not worth the shot like you could beat a bunch of PhD holders in their own game…now what good is all that electricity when we have no industries to power?

You should seat kwa ile seat ya NVs before ufungue mdomo. Have you considered the pollution associated with coal?
And where is the feasibility and viability assessment that you’ve done to determine that building coal plants is the more viable option

what are we really going to do with the tonnes of coal that we have

@vanadium Has a point. We are a poor country. To develop we need cheap energy and good infrastructure.

Europe Australia and China all went that route before moving to nuclear energy.

Coal plants are so yesteryear, they will be condemned before they come life.
