I’ve not been to Nakuru for a while but I remember their version of Koinange street called KANU street.
You would see three stones randomly scattered hapo in some dark corner bila firewood.
According to legend ukilipa mia moja, mguu moja inakanyaga mawe unamalizia hapo.
Mia mbili, mawe mbili and so on.
Ukifikisha mia tano, unapelekwa lodging.
Can anyone from Nakuru confirm it is true ama it was a fake hekaya.

Interestingly that’s the street I sampled my 1st poko sourced from a pub called Kutana or Kutanize, don’t know if it’s still operating.

Hahaha. I remember cops used to ask that question on that street. One jamaa replied mimi ni polisi na nyinyi ni malaya. Sema kupigwa kama punda.
Nakuru pokocity changed after IDPs landed huko from Molo and Eldoret.
They were selling for as low as 50 Bob lakini ni farmer - ngozi kama rhino.
Thank God for MKU and Egerton town campus, they brought in fresh new softer pokos.

Nakuru has really changed, Siku hizi Coco has rebranded and been renamed. Dimples is still there but lacks the old verve na Gitwamba has been overrun by chokosh wa 2008 post election violence. Turning point for Nakuru was that violence, yaani hata hio KANU street huwezi tembea na amani tena…influx ya IDPs has made the place very unsafe alafu by 9pm police wanakuchota
