Jetour ni junk expensive

Everyone has a point to prove when it comes to Chinese cars. Kulikua na wakanesa flani by the name Alex Turbo Diesel who used to criticize cars as if his father and grandfather could build a donkey cart.
I remember when he wrote some nonsense about the Toyota Hiace (Box or Chopper) when they started getting into the Kenyan market. As usual December there were so many accidents on n the road, this boxes included. Alex Mwanzo went ahead to say these were death traps, in Japan they’re vans meant to carry boxes not human beings, he tagged NTSA, and everything government that they needed to stop those things from being modified into Matatus. As if he hadn’t had enough he recommended at the very least, we needed to import Mercedes Benz Sprinter and some Renault van if we indeed needed vans. We had a field day trashing his self righteous post.

Those High roof vans are used as delivery vans in Yurop & Sodom. If they are to be converted into ambulances the process is done in some qualified vehicle body workshop.

The Chinese are taking over and other tales.

Where is the lie in this?

Give me an alternative practical solution for a 14 seater. Anything in the world that fits into the workhorse that Hiace does in Kenya.

What modification do you propose should be done?

I wouldn’t want to give you an emotional response but look at it this way; what do people in functional societies use to get around? Public transportation is not unique to Kenya.

Bring it all, emotional, scientific and everything bora it’s backed by data. Stop hiding behind functional societies. We are talking of Kenya, with its inefficiencies in public transport.
Of course we’d like to have functional trains and trams in the city, all connected to intercounty railway system, but we don’t have it. What we have, is the 14 seater vans, with the Hiace being the most popular workhorse which does the Lord’s work. Give me a practical alternative.

I vouch for the 14 sitter we use for the 2 main reasons

  1. It’s the only cheap alternative we have
  2. I am not a saint therefore the very high Kenyan population need something to keep on killing rats to manageable sample and the 14 sitter has done wonders past my expectation
