Production floor
She knew about the consequences..
Why not just give her a warning?
If its a multiple national, most of this multiple nationals have funny laws that dont make sense. If uv been to nestle kenya ul know what am saying. I usually pitty employees.
-Were there safety regulations prohibiting charging a phone on the production floor?
-If there were, was Veronica made aware?
Sijui but I will speak about my own experience. I have a simple rule at my place that between the hours of 4pm to 10pm which are the peak hours for any bar, service employees should not be on their phones but rather hand them in at the counter whereby if a call were to come in, the barman will alert the owner to attend to it at that moment. This is to ensure that during the rush hour, wakas are concentrating on customers sans the distraction from their phones. Before 4pm and after 10 pm which are off-peak hours, they can enjoy their phones as much as they want using my superfast WiFi. Sasa Kuna Bonobos who will come in with two phones, hand in one to signify compliance but retain another in their cheekiness. So you will have a bonobo hiding in a corner watching low IQ videos on tiktok and chatting away on WhatsApp during our peak hours as their customers bang tables to get attention. My response has been always simple; chukua simu zako, funganya virago uende uangalie simu kabisa.
Hii ndio kazi ya MPs lakini you won’t hear any of them comment
Huwezi Poteau for 8 months halafu unakuja kupeana a vague one sentence decree. Kazi gani hio brathe?
She appealed the decision, it was upheld. The people who made the decision to sack her and the ones who upheld the decision after appeal were not stupid. Just let Kimeu (this name almost sounds obscene) look for a job where she can charge her phone all day.
For once I agree with you wewe mtoto wa malaya. Mtu kama hawezi fuata sheria za kazini aende kwenye kazi inafanywa kiholela.
Lala umbwa hii.
I am supervising a listening post for the GCHQ on behalf of the MI6. Nitalala saa kumi.
Looks like a spat between women workers and Her Resources (HR). This is the reason Kamala Harris lost.
If I am told by my employer to leave my phone at home, I will do exactly that. If I am told by my employer to switch off the phone while at work, I will do exactly that. I don’t think a phone is such a big deal to create unnecessary friction with my employer. Some people just lack discipline in life especially the Gen Z and millennials.
Wewe Mzee ni gen x?

Yes
I have read the whole story on linkedin and I can say sometimes employers act with impunity. The story is that the company delayed in paying salary so the lady had her power disconnected since she couldnt pay it on time because there was a salary delay. She was expecting a call from her mum and because hana stima kwake she opted kucharge simu kwa company. Unfortunately floor manager found her phone charging and he was reported to HR. Wakaenda disciplinary and she was fired. That was a month ago. Whats worse is that she hasnt been paid her arrears for last month. Her post was to tell the company to pay up as she sorts herself. Its weird that they are very quick to fire her but are very slow in processing her salary.
No wonder I usually say when dealing with your employer you should be ruthless in your own ways. Do the bare minimum, go home and thats it. Hapana kujipendekeza kwa wakubwa watakufuta kazi haraka sana
Na vile wamama huingia ofisi 6am kurpint assignment za Jayden pale CBC yet no one bothers.
