Aren’t those same dodgy teachings also found in the Bible? Yahweh has approved and/or rewarded people in the OT for engaging in slavery, mass murder, ethnic cleansing, human sacrifice etc.

But God, the Lord Jesus Christ, loves music that’s why heaven is filled with music. Revelation 5:9, 14:3, 15:3. One anecdote, I was listening to a man who died and came back. He went to heaven and said the music reminded him of South African black women singing church songs. It was such a nice thing to note that heaven’s worship songs are well represented by people who perhaps are never deemed worthy enough on this earth, blacks and women.
