are there orange ke users experiencing internet blackout?
yes i am…and to imagine its just last month i forked out my good 8500/= for their flybox…hata ile 30-day trial period haijaisha.

We had one of those boxes at the office back in '09 when they launched locally (they called them livebox at the time) and the experience was way way too abysmal. At one time we disconnected the damn thing and opted kukaa bila net. After that experience, no way I’d ever consider having it kwangu. Wacha nikae gizani.
When they recently wound up CDMA/EVDO in favor of HSPA which is as yet unavailable, I knew they were intent on committing suicide. I bid them farewell.

I looked at the available options and I would say the performance has been fair when i compare to Safcon modem where I am and the fact that we could use simultaneously with son (we are both students, he he)…

Man si internet in Kenya iko expensive…Ati 8.5K flybox…mm hapa mahali nko internet WLAN per month costs me 30 euro per month…30€ = 3,000 Ksh…plus free landline calls…alafu mobile internet costs me 15 euro…3GB and its so fast

Am also having the same problem with orange internet since jana. It disconnects when connected or even refuses to Reconnect at all.
Orange modem beats Saf hands down. Saf is very slow, especially from 6.30-11 Pm when internet usage is high. Airtel is nothing to write about.
If you have access to Zuku, the better.
