Went out to buy a bite with flip flops looking all rough and got arrested, had to pay 1k lest I spent the night in a cold cell. Nilifikishwa hadi station from the gates of my house. Tried to reason with them nipande stairs i collect my ID but wapi?! Was literally blackmailed either that ama nilale kwa cement. Am not a bleeding heart social justice warrior so I danced with the system and secured my freedom escaping a more potential lethal case of pneumonia .

I understand in America huwa wana decline to produce their ID if there is no propable cause. Are such laws in place even here?Let’s educate each other on these laws. Probable cause also covers situations where a cop belives that you might have commited a crime or are about to commit a crime. Maybe op was shaken or as someone suggested above did not appear to be confident. Hapo unachotwa.

At no instance are you blaming the motherfuckers that got me from literally a convenience store next to my apartment block and instead of just allowing me to head home and produce the necessary documents opted to drive till the station to extort and blackmail me. I know the one that says one should produce a driving license once a cop demanded it. Failure to produce is has a set penalty.

I thought these days by any chance ukisahau DL there’s a way to confirm from NTSA?

I was’nt there when you were arrested to know whether you were shaken or not and I am not a cop apologist. I am just playing devils advocate giving scenario of situations when a cop can arrest a person even when he/she has not committed a crime. Pole kwa kushukiwa. Lakini next time nunua maziwa mapema. BTW I always buy bread and milk in a suit when I am coming from the plantation.

This is a Law not found in any Law books but in my head…Kama ni msako boss kimbia…kwa msako hakuna kujitetea…in most cases ni orders from above wafanye collections ya pesa ifike target fulani…na kama OCS hajafikisha target ya wiki msako is a way for hitting that target…ndio maana sana inakua Fridays…
