Hi guys, I need to replace the 12 Pro Max camera, and was wondering if anyone (iPhone users) has had their camera replaced. What was your experience? Will I still be able to get quality shots?
The fundi told me I’ll be seeing a pop-up telling me the camera has been replaced, but the camera would still be working 100% fine because they are using a genuine Apple part.
Lastly, recommend me to any great fundis around Nairobi.
What happened to my camera? It malfunctioned and can no longer take great shots.
Apple used to have a pretty strong policy against thrid party repairs. Imagine having to lobby the government in order to fix your own phone which you bought with your own money.
To answer your question, I replaced the camera on one of my older androids and it worked about the same afterwards. For iPhone that prompt will be annoying forever.. don’t know if it can be flashed. Ask fundi mjinga @fundimnoma ndio akulipishe 100k.
If you use a genuine part from apple you will not get a notification, that happens for non genuine parts since apple wants to maintain a high standards for their phones. Now about the cost its 42k for the part alone Camera for iPhone 12 Pro Max (661-18172) i only trust this site for genuine apple products in kenya.
Apple’s iOS (since 14.4) will display warnings if the serial number on the camera doesn’t match the original — even with genuine modules sourced from other devices.
