U can register as:
Student - Get help from tutors
Tutor - Give help (academic to students and sell your study aid material online)
Institute - Sell your courses and study aids online.
Idea is let’s say nimemaliza system ya Matiangi na nilikuwa “Yule msee” in Chemistry…huku nje kuna Wasee bado wanasuffer in the system na they need help in Chemistry (which is my domain) so I register as a tutor Kwa site and say I charge 2k per session (can be online(Skype), in person (we meet at a venue provided by my site or choice by student).
The Student in need of help in Chemistry atakuwa ame regisiter on the site…then he /she will search for a tutor in Chemistry within locality yake…or set parameters…
Sees my profile and picks me (tutor in Chemistry),books a session…once confirmed, hio 2k student amelipa will be deducted from student account and added to tutor account (minus my percentage (10%) na Ile ya kutumia platform (2%) - my way to monetize the site.
Once pesa ya tutor has accumulated to 5k minimum he can send a withdrawal request na itumwe to his mpesa (hapa ndio code imekwama for now).
Same applies to Institutions…
Then for every transaction ya kuuza books ama study material via my site napata 10% pia …

I’m not too keen on the tutoring part , i don’t think it would be the money maker or most popular service for your business BUT you should still include it .
Tutors selling their study material and aids is what could be the most integral part of your to be business . If tutors can offer their material based on specific topics that they update frequently , let’s say every month , in easy to understand formats that are aimed at helping the students pass exams rather than just learn … students would love that . You can achieve this by talking to the providers and telling them what you aim to have as materials .
If feel if you just make the materials normal , long written pdf books or so that are general , after the students buy , they will distribute and you may hit a stagnation … keep them coming back .
i have been thinking of same idea. like cousera.com online courses that have certificates.
you can partner with renown universities to offer online courses through your platform.
you can give free ones as well
have it fully charterd and offer online courses accredited by KNEC,KASNEB, CISM and so on.
