A lot of Kenyans have finally caught on to something the rest of us figured out eons ago. Boniface Mwangi is a career activist who has to engage in Theatrics to attract White donor funding and the fact that he is invited to mainstream media should tell you about what side if the divide he is at. The important thing is that many are asking about how to get into the space. I’ll give some career advice. Myself, I can’t get into that business because of my belief system.
Yep, the first thing you must do is be okay with thieving, cheating, scheming and what not. If you’re kikekuyu then you’re halfway on your way there.
Secondly there are other paths to this livelihood:.
- You can go to theatrical activism like Boniface Mwangi and you’ll need props, extras for your acts and of course a few rehearsals and acting classes.
- You can go the route of climate change like Wangari Maathai. This needs a bit more brains and reading so I don’t know if many talkers qualify. This is because you need to educate yourself in the lingo/buzzwords of your domain.
- You can pretend to be a persecuted homosexual like Binyavanga Wainaina. This will earn you a quick asylum to the European or North American country of your choice.
- You can launch a startup but raising funds through this path is hard even for kikekuyus. Money is mainly given on the basis of skin color and connections to white angel investors. So you need to already belong before you belong.
