Very hard since most of these don’t have valid titles. You can find the original documents at the Lands registry when performing a search. The Karura forest must have been taken after Kamotho’s family refused to share; I mean they are already building a hotel in Karura, where did they get the land. This is the land stolen during Moi’s time but Wangari Maathai caused a stinker and they pretended to have cancelled them, guess not.

Kamotho sold the land years ago before he died. The lawsuit is between EACC and that buyer.

When Kamotho was the minister of Education, alikuja shule yetu Harambee, he was the Guest of honor, the school was building a new classroom complex and was also in the process of acquiring a school bus. ingotse High had some successful business and sportsmen who each contributed amounts north of 20k, Kamotho stood up and said he had Moi’s blessings then went ahead and contributed 6k. A whole minister! With Moi’s mchango included, haikujaa 10k. Alijaribu kusema asindikishwe na everyone in the crowd but people were tired, silently saying he had stolen from.the kabahasha that he had received from the statehouse. They have titles. Moi stole within the system. He didn’t just grab land but made sure titles were created. So he would call the commissioner for lands and say he wants 10 acres. The commissioner hives off 20, creates titles, gives Moi 10 and keeps 10.

It depends on which rich Kikuyus. Old money, meaning thieves, have plenty of land but the new money ones who made money from running successful businesses don’t seem to crave land at all. It actually makes sense given that little value can be created from land whereas you can sell a service multiple times to millions of people and make a killing. The reason why poor Kenyans struggle to buy land is that they want to be like their ruling class who unbeknownst to them don’t know how to build wealth the right way. They mistakenly think that land is what made the Kenyattas and the Michukis rich but we all know their wealth came straight from government coffers. Poor people should try to venture into business and stop pouring their 800k on some plot in Kamulu.
