How does one change their name on Truecaller?

Hey Talkers,

I’ve been trying to change 2 company lines (Saf & Airtel) to read our correct company name on Truecaller, instead of some shit someone erroneously put kitambo.

I tried changing through the Android app (i.e. clearing data, reinstalling the app, updating changes and saving those changes for each line) but this hasn’t worked.

I also googled on how to change a Truecaller name, followed the instructions as per their site (see below) but there’s been no response after 24hrs.

DOES ANYBODY KNOW OF ANY OTHER WAY OF EFFECTING THE NAME CHANGE?

Thanks in advance!

Hapo ndio nilienda but there was no change…

What do you mean? Two phones? Change to the name you like and a pic as well. Ikikataa mchome hizo simu mubuy zingine juu zina mapepo.

If you have it installed on your phone it will be easier. Just the @Web Dev has said. Mine worked.

tafuta huyo mtu amekusave “Omondi Madeni” ndio abadilishe. truecaller sometimes picks the name saved on someone’s phonebook somewhere when s/he syncs on internet

They are 2 different SIM cards. They’re not used on cellphones… zimewekwa kwa GSM routers zile za ofisi za desktop handsets.

Yeah, imagine it’s a STUPID name like that! That’s why we need to change the name ASAP. Imagine how clients perceive us when we call them & they see some silly Truecaller ID. But why oh why would Truecaller rely on one ID provided by a joker or somebody malicious??? There should be a facility for the SIM holder to change the name quickly and easily…

:D:D more the reason nilijitoa kwa trucaller someone had saved me as {MyName} Ex Ngamia :frowning:

lol easy peasy… ngoja nimalize kuweka hii rom halafu tuone…

Remove the two lines from true caller and that’s it. Why go for complicated solutions to a simple problem?

Lemme know if your name change gives you any problems…

Sure… Hadn’t thought of that option of removing the 2 numbers’ Truecaller accounts… But first I will wait for Truecaller’s response (see my screenshot above). 2 more days then I will go for the deleting option.

You need to put the sim cards in an android phone and make the changes from there . Your case is like someone with mulika mwizi being being tagged with weird names.

Dude, that’s exactly what I did on my Android phone, one SIM at at time! Did you read my first post?

Kama venye @Web Fag amesema. Changing the details means several of you have to match for truecaller to identify with. But if you effected the changes using the simcards themselves (zikiwa ndani ya phone) it will be immediate.

Sure, I can also get several of my colleagues to ‘suggest’ to Truecaller the 2 numbers on their android apps… And yes, I confirm (again) that I effected the changes using the simcards themselves (zikiwa ndani ya phone) but there was no change, even after uninstalling/reinstalling the Truecaller Android app on each attempt…

I downloaded truedialer and saved my name the way i wanted, now it uses that.

Nice suggestion! Hebu lemme try that…

Kuna dame just over 18 the other day nimemkamua, I saved her number as Mercy HIV support group, any fisi trying to screw her will see that name on true caller and hopefully leave her just for me.

that is unfair man how about her family members and potential employers

What about them? You should see the kind of names that pop up on true caller. Start by checking your number.
