Maasai or Maa is an Eastern Nilotic language spoken in Southern Kenya and Northern Tanzania by the Maasai people, numbering about 800,000.

Africa could have evolved the same with larger or stronger tribes swallowing smaller ones and assimilating them.

Africa would then have emerged a continent with few but very large and powerful countries /tribes well poised to play a larger role in the world.

Slave trade and colonialism is what interrupted this process.
