My opinion, Ruto or jubilee let him have it as the opposite would have destroyed him. Incase a by-election was held, he would have vyied under jubilee party as no fresh nominations would be held. then it would mean tangatanga would have campaigned for an independent candidate or other party member which would have been worse for jubilee as a party. so as a win win they let him have it.
