Jesus escaped to Egypt when Herod wanted to kill him.. not New Jersey, Minnesota, Washington D.C. or any other country without a functional religious system. The idea that someone from the America’s can talk about this stuff is absolutely fascinating.
These are people used to scaring others into submission. Why are you getting so worked up? Jesus’ actual doctrine is very good indeed. Perseverance and faith in the almighty.. not coercion and fear mongering from slave masters. Stop ruining religion with half baked arguments.
And yes, some aspects of Christianity were borrowed from other kingdoms e.g. the 42 Commandments of the Egyptian afterlife closely mirror the 10 Commandments given to Moses.. who himself was an Egyptian Citizen. There’s nothing wrong with that.
Faith is the evidence of things you cannot see. I have never physically seen God but I know He is the Creator. I have seen literal miracles in my life, which if I narrated to you, you would not believe it cause you’d want hard physical evidence, so I won’t bother. To each his own.
