Gachagua wonders why students from outside Mount Kenya are being admitted in Alliance, Mangu, Lenana and other National Schools build by Kikuyu while Kikuyu students are denied admission in those schools

We demand to be given 45% quota in those schools otherwise watu wajenge mashule kwao waache kudandia za wenyewe

You missed the sarcasm.

In this country, development is skewed towards certain regions. Hence economic opportunities are also skewed in favour of those same regions.

Education is a ladder to better economic prospects.

I am ashamed to remember I was rooting for him this time last year!

Anyway, let him help WSR to consolidate power.

I agree with him. They upgraded most schools in central to national schools so this reduced the number of admitted local students.

Make these schools provincial again!

High school doesn’t even matter if we’re being honest. Ukitia bidii at any HS, you’ll just get any Kenyan University and course you feel like joining.
Watu wapelekee watoto international schools alafu majuu. Kenyan education system is fucking useless

I support gachagua sentiments. Central, western province, Nairobi have very good institutions. Built by the people. They should benefit from those institutions.

But you find, after they have build them they stop being the beneficiary. Even the management is changed. Bringing in teachers mostly as of today from the rift valley who then run them down.

And NE has nothing to offer, just waiting to corruptly but slots elsewhere. Kila mtu ajenge kwao kwanza

The local students can go to other counties whose schools didn’t receive preferential treatment and facilitate integration

I have changed my mind about foreskins. This is empirical evidence that circumsicion haisaidii akili. Degrees on STEM subjects ndio husaidia.

It is the missionaries who built alliance, mangu and the local population donated the land. The missionaries also built schools elsewhere eg Maseno, Friend School Kamusinga, Kaimosi, St Mary’s Yala etc. So development and schools are not only in certain regions.

I agree with you. Kule maseno which is a national school joluo wamejaa, kapsabet which is a national school kaleos wamejaa, lakini alliance and mangu wanaambiwa they have to stick to national quotas excluding the local population. This is very unfair. Those schools should have at least one stream accommodating qualified students from the host county. That would be a way of the schools giving back to the local community.

And FYI there are 108 national schools in Kenya spread all over the country so everyone should not be coming to schools in kiambu county.

I went to a former maumau school by virtue of doing well in my exams.. if I’d known what it was, I’d have simply failed on purpose.
