Eric Omondi with his gorgeous kikekuyu wife

Comedian Eric Omondi’s fiancée and mother of his child, Linet Watiri Njihia, popularly known as Lynne Njihia, has shared how they first met.

According to Njihia, they first met while going about their daily jobs.

In a phone interview with Nairobi News, she revealed that she auditioned for a role in one of Eric Omondi’s sketches in 2020, which marked the beginning of their relationship.

“We met in Karen when we were working together. It was our first meeting and the chemistry was instant. It was the first week of April 2020. A friend introduced me to one of his skits and I went to the shoot not knowing it was for Eric Omondi. I was doing various shoots on the side while I was at university,” she explained.

The comedian and Lynne have a daughter together.

When asked to describe Eric, Lynne said he was quiet and shy.

“Even when he told me he wanted me to be his girlfriend, I took him seriously. I am dating Eric Otieno, not the comedian Eric Omondi that everyone knows. I know when he is serious and when we had that conversation, I knew he was serious about everything,” she said.

Lynne said she grew up in a single-parent family after her parents separated.

“I was raised in Thika town as an only child by my single mother until I was 16, and now I have a little sister who is 8 years old. My mother was married, then separated from my father and later remarried,” she said.

Lynne stressed that her mother was very present in her life, so she never felt the absence of a father figure. “My mother gave me almost everything, especially parental love. She tried so hard. Not having a father figure didn’t affect me because she was there 100%.”

“I started working out as part of my resolutions for 2024. This is my fourth month and the results are amazing. I was 67kg and now I am 62kg. My target is 58kg with a flat stomach. That is the goal,” she said.

One time in my younger days kwa harusi fulani tulikuwa tunasaidia ushers to manage queue ya chakula. Sasa tukatengeneza line moja specifically for mothers with young kids and pregnant women ndio wasifinyane na ombwakni wengine. In comes some kikekuyu babes na tumbo zao karai. Politely, I ushered them kwa hio line ya wajaa wazito. Ile matusi nilipewa I have never recovered.
