Chief Kivoi used some ancient African way of teleportation to shorten distances and African charms to ‘blind’ animals. That’s why it was only him doing it. The talk of someone from interior covering vast distances in the coast is what made some white men allured to progress inwards following Kambas in a bid to find this new way of travel. They never did.
