Dubois' sea snake, The deadliest water snake in the world

Dubois’ sea snake (Aipysurus duboisii) also known reef shallows sea snake,
Found in Papua New Guinea, New Caledonia and the northern, eastern and western coastal areas of Australia.

The snake venom causes severe fatigue, muscle weakness, respiratory failure, and total paralysis

The snake is generally not considered dangerous to humans. It is known for its docile nature and tends to avoid human interaction, biting only when provoked. There are no recorded fatalities from bites

With their cannibal clans, they are more deadly than the snake.

Such statements hua hazisaidii. the fact that it is in the sea means that it can be “provoked”" by you merely swimming next to it and brushing your leg against it. They do not wait for you to abuse it or its mother to attack

Just make Google your friend. Most cases of them biting humans is when fishermen catch them in the net and they bite when they remove the fish. Since they are found on the ocean floor, they rarely swim so they rarely attack swimmers.

The list of risks associated with their venom sounds deadly but the article says that no fatalities have ever been reported. Quite contradictory

Even a corral snake is one of the deadliest snakes on earth. But it rarely bites even when provoked. Partly because it’s fangs are shaped backwards, so it has to latch onto to you by repeatedly biting and it delivers very little poison @ChifuMbitika, 1-2% of a regular snake.
