While we were distracted by Riggy Gee’s Impeachment and Kasamuel’s endless media antics

1: All NHIF members were subscribed to SHA without their consent.
Meanwhile, patients in Kenya are still paying out of pocket for healthcare , with no clear process for refunds.

2: The government announced plans to convert mobile money paybill and till number accounts into Electronic Tax Registers (ETRs) by 25th December this year, in an effort to “combat tax evasion”.

3: Energy CS , Opiyo Wandayi , announced the signing of a KETRACO-ADANI KES: 95.7 Billion , 30-year deal.
ADANI Energy Solutions will now manage the transmission line for the next 30 years.

4: The Court of Appeal overturned the High Court’s decision that sentenced Sirisia MP John Waluke to 67 years in prison or a fine of KES: 1 Billion over a maize importation scam.

5: Kamau Thugge , the CBK Governor , announced that the country is expecting yet another loan amounting to KES: 254 Billion to “address our forex reserves deficit” before the end of the year.

I wonder
What else did we miss …???

Of course the Riggy G impeachment is a non-priority issue that was well-timed and blown out of proportion to blind people to all the seething nasties that KK is plotting. All these decisions must be challenged in court.
What else we missed?
They are working on the insidious plan to take away your right to remove them, by crafting constitutional amendments to existing laws, to extend their terms to 7 years. , meaning, no elections in 2027.
Please don’t miss that.

Did they pass that law? Thank God we have checks and balances.

No, but it’s in the pipeline. Don’t blink.
