That said this scandal is highly being pushed and exaggerated. Nation who have been pushing the screaming headlines of 10 billion now in small print say it may have been only 90 million after a clerical error on the memo showed 9 billion instead of 90 million.
But that is not interesting as much as a section of the press is being used to create the impression that RV MP’s are behind the expose. Who gains if Jubilee isn’t in harmony? Nation doesn’t like or hold brief for anyone in RV. Luckily this was easily exposed at the onset and it didn’t work.
Lastly let’s forget exaggerations just 2 weeks ago it was revealed that 2 billion was paid by NLC for a piece of land in Ruaraka which actually was public land but somehow changed hands to private ownership. PAC & PIC somehow cleared that investigation and went silent. Everyone knows odm wing of opposition got 1 billion from this transaction and they were celebrating handshake manenos the last few weeks. The press who knew this had an interesting way of reporting it.
She bears political responsibility for the scam. She came in after Waiguru and part of the reason she was put in charge of the ministry was to stop the theft that had been going on at NYS.

10 billion is more than what NYS gets is in one year from Treasury. That was the first clue that the numbers aren’t right. Anyway let’s await the public deliberations live at the PAC/PIC committee.

How much do they get from treasury every fiscal year?
i don’t have the figures but i imagine the total sum the Pricincipal Secretary (the Accounting officer) gets is further broken down into manageable sums in form of AIEs to Unit commanders/in-Charges unless it is for buying capital goods such as bulldozers and borehole drilling rigs. this is why i am waiting for the breakdown of the payments that added up to 9.
