The High Court has
suspended
government’s directive
to close private schools
due to the ongoing
teachers’ strike. Judge Mumbi Ngugi said
such an order was in
the interest of justice,
noting it was urgent
matter in the
circumstances. The case had been filed
on Monday by the
officials of the Kenya
Private Schools’
Association (KPSA)
challenging the government directive to
close all public and
private schools.
