I just decided to create a men fashion inspiration thread since there hasn’t been a single thread on this.
Most men in Nairobi have this notion that those ill fitting huge ass suits are fashionable. The young guys think that their faded jeans is the shit. Well, it isn’t.
By the way, I haven’t seen a single African stylizing men’s wear. And I mean the good wearable stuff not that shit that “models” wear that makes them look like they just came from a dumpster.
Casuals
The flannel shirt is one of the most fashionable pieces on earth.

Then there is the well fitting suit. Not those 300K ill fitting suits that Kenyan “mbillionares” wear.

And there is the casual street wear. Totally random.

PS:
And there it is. The first men fashion thread on KenyaTalk. It is not meant to inspire old overweight buggers on KT though.
There is just something about looking good in a sea of men in unflattering suits and washed out jeans.
Wanaume, we need to step up our dress sense. Sio mathogothanio zingine people dare to step out in.

From your tone, you come off as those incorrigibly snobbish, squemish, mama’s-boy assfuckas that marinates themselves in cheap colognes before going to the stupid job that mom got them.
I noticed if I wear official trouser and shirt, it makes my life easier. Watchmen at gate and other entrance treat you with respect, sometimes i just pass through as if i work there.
I made an observation that it is old “overweight buggers” to borrow OP’s term, that think that dressing nicely is gay.
Seriously, ushaiketi pahali and got complements from good looking women on your outfit? That shit feels good. Na namaanisha good looking women. Not those ugly overweight women that Talkers say they prefer since they are ugly and overweight themselves.
Ukweli man. I look so ferking cool with a cap. That’s what everybody says but I rarely wear it as am treated in a generally more shittier manner than when I don’t wear it. Not worth the hassle.
He is right you know. Looking good commands respect. And it boosts confidence levels. And there is something good about being approached by ladies instead of approaching.
The tone was very intentional. I was hoping to keep out the “looking good is gay, real African men wear anything they find on their wardrobes” kinda Talkers out of this thread.
My exact sentiments. Even switching Jeans trousers for Khaki trousers or even Chinos (those khaki trousers that almost look like Jeans) elevates somebody’s status so much. Humans are highly visual beings, it seems.
The type of nigga that puts on a three piece suit to got to the supermarket. Compliments from random women mean nothing. You will not marry them all. Finally, grow up.
