I don’t agree with most of what you have said, but on this story of meekness, ati once you become a Christian, you are supposed to change and be extra humble. This is called fake humility. Let me tell you that this is the biggest hogwash being practiced ignorantly by followers of Christ. Because when you look at His character, He was a very stern and firm man.
He flipped over tables akaharibu biashara ya watu in a temple and He wasn’t roughed up (you try do that yourself and see what happens), he cursed a fig tree for bearing no fruit, He told off Satan in the desert, He told His own mother this -“Dear woman, that’s not our problem, my time has not yet come.” John 2:4

It all goes down to Hollywood’s agenda, painting the wrong portrait of Christ as this meek, humble guy, just to blaspheme Him and people, just like sheep follow what they see. I’m telling you people will be surprised at the day of His return.

The problem with this whole scenario @Christ the King is that you can never be objective. You were raised as a Christian straight from childhood. If we were colonised by muslims today you would be quoting me Koran verses. I ask you now, why do you believe Jesus is the Messiah if the Jews themselves believe he is only an imposter masquerading as the Messiah?

Christianity has all the hallmarks of emotional abuse. These are:

1. Destruction of self-worth. From day one you are quickly taught that you are a sinner who needs to be saved. You are born in sin and inherently bad. You are weak and you are nothing without God. You had a huge debt that Jesus was kind enough to pay for you. Concepts that applied in real life would turn you into a doormat such as being meek and submissive are encouraged.
2. Constant use of threats. You are always reminded of a looming judgement day/rapture/end of times/apocalypse/eternal torment for those who refuse to toe the line.
3. Unquestioning obedience. When you attempt to question things that don’t make sense, you are urged to stop asking and are quickly reminded you are incapable of understanding God’s ways. Independent thinking is discouraged and branded “dangerous pride”.
4. Existence of a bogeyman to be protected from. You must always pray to be kept safe from unseen forces and the evil plans of Satan who is always scheming on how to bring you down. Christianity is careful though, to assign Satan with enough power to be a menace but not really enough to challenge God’s status.

I agree with some of these but we need to separate Christian spiritualism and religion
Religion…all religions control…this is a state of birth that you can change but spiritualism liberates…this is a personal decision…Spiritualism builds a healthy relationship with a higher force but religion manipulates…with that said…
1 and 4.This is an issue of perception.
2 and 3.This is ecclestiastical deception…Deception by the clergy.This is a cult…as a Christian myself i would advice one not follow a church or spiritual leader who does not allow you to question fundamentals of your faith…Stay away from anything that does not want to be questioned.

However do not discard Christianity because you or i have not gained sound doctrine…It is your responsibility to educate and seek Elohim…If you seek Him…he will offer you guidance…He will reveal to you things u wont even believe existed

My aunt used to stay with us. She was one of these rabid evangelicals, God-this, God-that types that pray for hours on end and speak in tongues. I once asked her how on earth does one believe in a virgin giving birth, akaniambia “stop questioning God, you don’t understand his ways…” It never made sense to me how a virgin can give birth, and still doesn’t.
