If you can’t afford 900 bob for 3 beers at a half-decent club, kaa tuu nyumbani you have bigger things to worry about than alcohol prices. If I was a peasant, I would rather stay home and save money than go to an unhygienic location full of lowlifes like Calabash and the likes.

Shida ya hizi clubs za chini kabisa ni the hygiene standards are terrible, the crowd is filled with lowlifes, the ambience sucks, the insecurity is magnified, and there is zero chance of making a chance encounter with someone who can actually improve your life e.g by sharing ideas.

- The first mistake is thinking that new ideas can only come from friends. You can get new ideas from total strangers at a club or any other social setting - and that setting won’t be Calabash, that’s guaranteed. If you want useful ideas, go to where high achievers hang out. Sooner or later, you will know someone who knows someone who knows something. You will see a friend in that decent setting and you will share a table with him and his friend (who is a stranger to you)…that’s how you learn from strangers via already existing friends.
- Making new friends can change your life. Some of my most profitable ideas were shared by my friends wakanichanua.
