Someone at Klost had asked about this gadget;
I want to import a few for test marketing. The landing cost is much higher than ordinary FTA decoders. (about usd 150). You connect it to your car’s existing dvd player to receive fta channels.
I have a feeling that this may not be viable biz…Could any villager be interested?
How many Kenyans would be open to the idea of watching TV in their cars? Quite a sizable number. Give it a try. Your success will depend on how effectively you identify and market to the target group. If people have radio, why not TV. I guess taxis would be a potential market, both for the benefit of clients and drivers.
Most people spend a great deal of time with their cars, not necessary driving, more than they spend at home. A TV could be a handy source of media content.
I think it will work, but you have to approach car owners directly. Like you employ a girl to approach them and have them buy or keep contacts. But dont use your daughter/wife/girlfriend/anybody dear because a good number of customers will DF her.
Yes people will. That is a very targeted market only if you just dont concetrate too much on taxi drivers(NZE, 110, wingroad etc). If they got contacts they can just buy later if its not a product they will easily get kwa market.
