The presence of substantial populations from Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and the DRC in Kenya certainly fosters deeper social and economic ties. This demographic reality will definitely influence Kenya’s domestic and foreign policy.
In 20 years’ time, I predict that the regional geopolitics of Kenya will largely revolve and pivot towards the Great Lakes region.
One of the most significant shifts in Kenya’s geopolitical strategy will be its expanded diplomatic footprint in the Great Lakes region. As Kenya solidifies its influence, I foresee the establishment of one of the biggest embassies in the region, potentially in Goma or Lubumbashi. These cities are critical to the DRC’s economic and political landscape and strategically positioned to enhance Kenya’s diplomatic reach.
The embassy in Goma or Lubumbashi will symbolize Kenya’s commitment to the region. It will serve as a center for economic diplomacy, facilitating trade and investment between Kenya and the DRC. Additionally, it will act as a base for regional security collaboration, addressing cross-border threats and fostering peace initiatives.
Nairobi’s role as neutral ground for all the negative forces destabilizing Eastern DRC will add another layer of complexity. While Kenya traditionally aims to maintain neutrality, it may be increasingly difficult to do so as it becomes more entangled in the region’s politics. Hosting negotiations and peace talks in Nairobi will position Kenya as a mediator, but also expose it to pressure from various factions and state actors.
At times, Kenya will be forced to take sides, especially when national interests or regional stability are at stake. This will undoubtedly anger some state actors, further entangling Kenya in the complex web of alliances and enmities within the Great Lakes region. Balancing neutrality with decisive action will be a delicate and often contentious task.
Off course not forgetting lineage ya @Baby_Panay will have Hutu blood after kukuliwa bibi na shamba boy wake kutoka plale Bukavu.
Nairobi is not neutral on the issue of DRC
UN war equipment used to destabilize DRC has been going through Kenya for some months now. in short Kenya is working with those causing problems in Congo.
Bruv…I am already earning from DRC. How? I own Equity Bank shares. Equity bank’s largest subsidiary is in DRC. In fact, by friend Mwangi said that they expect that subsidiary to out-earn the Kenyan unit by 2030. In other words, Equity Bank will earn more money from DRC than from Kenya by 2030!!
Already DRC has joined the East African community. Kenyan banks have seen Equity’s success and have decided to invade DRC. Juzi KCB completed an acquisition there. If you want to benefit, buy shares of banks venturing to those regions utavuna poa. Kenyan banks are have now gone international and unlike other East African citizens, you have direct access to buy their shares and your dividends as a Kenyan citizen will be taxed at just 5%.
Which part of central are they settling in? Can you name some towns and their approximate numbers. Are they assimilating well with the locals for example through intermarriage. Leta demographics.
In othaya iko probably several hundred people from Rwanda who settled there a long time ago, and have assimilated very well. Haven’t you ever met msapere who are strangely very tall and lanky? Utapata the dad may be one of them.
Burundi and 60% of DRCongo is at Mois 1980 Kenya , 90% of Rwanda is at Kibakis 2006 Kenya , Tanzania is at Kibakis 2008 Kenya , Somalia is at pre-independence Kenya hapo 1949 ,
Basically Kenya ni USA to those other EAC citizens . tungekua na Kibaki btn 2013-2027 Kenya ingekuwa level ya S.A , thats why ANC, CCM and other thugs funded RAO to fukck Kibaki
The good thing about those people from Rwanda, Burundi, DRC is that they easily integrate and mind their business. They are not trying to change our ways but enriching them.
They even sing nice music, we forget they are foreigners and see them as Kenyans unlike some others.
Talking of music, it’s a good indicator of how harmonious foreigners will integrate I suppose!!
Look at Burundi
Look at DRC
And so on and so on…
The nonsense of you found us here,go back to Congo is the most idiotic defense,it’s been scientifically proven those claiming so we’re migrating to the westwards,it was the last migration wave.
